I have always been interested in the weather. It is a facinating part of our natural world. It often became a joke when I was a kid about how wrong the weatherman on TV was. It seems better now. I suppose the computer models have greatly improved over the last 4 decades, but there are times when they seem to be guessing. The weather is not something to be taken for granted. As one of the most powerful forces on Earth it can be unpredictable at times, beautiful, awe inspiring as well as terrifing and destructive. Thus begins my new chapter in weather monitoring. After years of playing with home grown sensors, code, and computers, I finally threw out the hobby and got a commercial system. Maybe it won’t be as fun as doing it myself, but it will be more professional and hopefully free up some of my time to watch what is going on instead of tinkering with my system in front of the computer.
If anyone is interested in following my data, it will be on available on Weather Underground once I get it all installed and working. My station id is KTXTOMBA58.
If you are interested in the weather, join me. I love to discuss it.
